1953 All-Newfoundland junior playoffs
The first All-Newfoundland junior hockey championships were held in the winter of 1953. The Eastern champs would play the West coast champions in a final series hosted by Bell Island during Easter week. The Grand Falls Junior All-Stars won the All-Newfoundland title and became the first winners of the Veitch Memorial Trophy.
