2015 Herder Playoffs
The Avalon East Senior League (AESHL) and Central West Senior League (CWSHL) were reformed in 2014 following the disbandment of the Newfoundland Senior Hockey after three seasons. There were initial plans to organize a Herder final series between the champions of the AESH and the CWSHL champions to determine a provincial champion. This match-up failed to materialize and HNL announced on February 27/15 that the CWSHL will be playing for the Herder in their league championship series.
Prior to the Herder announcement, in the CWSHL playoffs, the Corner Brook Royals swept the Gander Flyers in four straight and the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts swept the Clarenville Caribous in four straight to advance to the league finals.
