Andrew 'Andy' Brown
Andy was born in Hamilton, Ontario in 1944. At the age of 20 he was a goaltender for the Gander Flyers during the 1964-65 season. After his year with the Flyers, Andy's professional hockey career started with the Johnston Jets. Later he played with Detroit and Pittsburgh in the NHL and then three seasons with the WHA's Indianapolis Pacers.
Andy has a record as the last NHL goaltender to play without a goalie mask. On April 7, 1974 he played for the Pittsburgh Penguins without a mask, losing 6-3 to the Atlanta Flames.
