The Memorial Cup
The Memorial Cup is awarded each year to the junior champions of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). There is a 4-team, round-robin tournament between the host team and the 3 league champions of the CHL: the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and the Western Hockey League (WHL). Currently there are 60 teams from 9 Canadian provinces and 4 American states that are eligible to compete for the Memorial Cup.
